For Satellite Phones:
Communications links using Satellite phones as an enhancement:
Notification to and communications with OROs. (TSC, EOF)
Notification to and communications with the NRC Headquarters IRC and the appropriate NRC Regional Office Operations Center (Control room, TSC and EOF)
Communications between licensee emergency response facilities (TSC, EOF)
Communications with field/offsite monitoring teams, (EOF, TSC)
Communications equipment at ORO facilities. (Tensas Parish, Claiborne County).
This was derived from Attachment 2 of GNRO-2013/00014 and recent discussions with the NRC:
For the question on EPRI NP 6041 Guidance:
EPRI NP-6041 was used in all of the EP Communications Assessments performed at Entergy sites. Thus, Areva did use EPRI NP-6041 in the performance of the EP Communications Assessment performed at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station.
