Philadelphia, PA, 19136 General Comment Back when I was a child, the radiation background was reported as 60 millirems per year. The background is now reported by the DoE and EPA as 600 to 700 millirems per year.
Long ago, the background was 600 or 700 millirems per year. When the background radiation fell to 600 or 700 millirems per year, life on this Earth proliferated with a profusion of species and animals as never before.
Evolution ran rampant. We are faced with a background dose that may make mankind an endangered species.
The time to stop dumping radiation into the air, water and soil is past. Stop now!
