- 1. Code Case N-795 has not been accepted by the NRC staff in the latest revision to Regulatory Guide 1.147, "Inservece Inspection Code Case Acceptability, ASME Section Xl, Division 1." It Is the NRC staff's position that after pressurization, a hold time of 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> for non-insulated components and 8 hours9.259259e-5 days <br />0.00222 hours <br />1.322751e-5 weeks <br />3.044e-6 months <br /> for insulated components is required prior to conducting the required VT-2 visual examination.
If the shorter hold times specified InASME Code Case N-795 are to be used, please provide the technical basis for their use.
