• Palisades embrittlement Screening Criteria 78 known from 1st capsule pull 93 03 in 1978 83

• Licensing dates lie well 00 within data (no 98 xx: Date Palisades End of License capsule was extrapolations) pulled &

tested

• Data follows expected trends Some Technical Details

• Program complies with ASTM-185(1966) (Years of Reactor Operation)

- 10 CFR 50 Appendix H not in force when Palisades was licensed

- Included high-Cu weld, but not exactly same as Dates in Palisades pressure vessel

• Palisades supplemented surveillance program to get data on limiting weld

- 2 capsules in Palisades

- 8 capsules in other plants (HBR, IP)

• 4 capsules remain in Palisades. One more will be pulled before 2031. 2
