1 AP 1000 Critical Task List The bounding condition is described below each critical task.

1. Manually trip the reactor, step in E-0 If not completed until after completion of Safeguards step in E-0 would be a failure of the task
2. Manually isolate steam flow/stop steam flow to the turbine, in E-0, RNO steps Prior to meeting the entry conditions for Subcriticality or Integrity FRP red/orange path
3. Manually actuate safeguards when required, in E-0, RNO steps, ensure at least 2 of 4 divisions are actuated Prior to meeting entry conditions of E-1, E-2, E-3 or any FRP red/orange path or completion of safeguards actuation E-0 step
4. Manually isolate main feedwater, in E excessive cooldown or uncontrolled filling of S/G Prior to reaching Wide Range level of 100%
5. Manually actuate Core Makeup Tanks (CMTs) following a small break LOCA, in E provides RCS make up and boration Prior to exiting E-0
6. Failure to trip reactor coolant pumps after CMT actuation, in E-0, RCP flow will impede CMT flow Prior to exiting E-0
7. Manually actuate PRHR, in E-0, it is the safety related heat sink Prior to transitioning to FR-H-1
8. Manually actuate containment isolation (T signal), at least one valve closed in each containment penetration, in E-0 Prior to exiting the scenario

13. Manually isolate SFW on low Tcold signal - in E ensuring the valves are closed is critical to prevent an overcooling event Prior to reaching Wide Range level of 100%
14. Manually establish required feedwater flow to S/G, in E-0 Critical only if PRHR HX is required but not available - Prior to transitioning to FR-H-1
15. Establish secondary heat sink if PRHR flow <770 gpm, in E-0 Failure to implement FR-H.1 based on conditions is a failure of the critical task
16. Manually actuate Automatic Depressurization System Stages 1-3 if required, in E-1 Prior to exiting E-1
17. Manually actuate ADS Stage 4 when required, in E-1 Prior to exiting E-1
18. Manually actuate IRWST injection, in E-1 Prior to exiting E-1
19. Manually actuate IRWST recirculation following a low IRWST level, in E-1 Prior to exiting E-1

21. Isolate feed flow to and from the FAULTED steam generator prior to transitioning out of E-2, in E-2 Prior to exiting E-2
22. Isolate feedwater flow to the ruptured SG when greater than required level, in E-3 Prior to exiting E-3

23. Isolate potential release path from ruptured S/G in E-3, in E-3 If isolated below the level at which the u-tubes are covered and as a result it complicates the mitigation strategy
24. Actuate ADS if required, in E-3 Prior to reaching Wide Range level of 100%
25. Manually align CVS in the auxiliary spray mode or ADS in JOG MODE to depressurize the RCS, in E-3 Prior to exceeding 97% in the ruptured S/G
26. Isolate the LOCA outside containment if ECA 1.1 entered Prior to transitioning out of ECA-1.1
27. Manually actuate CMT injection when criteria is met, in ES 1.1 Prior to exiting ES-1.1
