REPORT ON THE SAFETY ASPECTS OF THE LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR THE LIMERICK GENERATING STATION
Dear Mr. Stetkar:
On behalf of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, I am responding to your letter to Chairman Allison Macfarlane dated February 14, 2013, in which the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) discussed completion of its review of the license renewal application for the Limerick Generating Station. On the basis of the ACRS agreement that there are no issues that preclude renewal of the operating licenses and that the applicant has established and committed to aging management programs, the ACRS recommended renewal of the operating licenses.
I appreciate the ACRSs thorough review of the license renewal application for Limerick Generating Station and the associated final safety evaluation report prepared by the staff.
