FORTHCOMING MEETING WITH PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY (TAC NOS. MF0687 AND MF0688)

DATE & TIME: Thursday, March 7,2013 1 :00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EST LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 0-03B04 Rockville, Maryland PURPOSE: Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will meet with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss its updated plans for the submittal of a license amendment request to revise fire protection requirements for Diablo Canyon Power Plant, Units 1 and 2. The planned revisions are intended to adopt the risk-informed, performance-based alternative described in National Fire Protection Association Standard, NFPA 805, as permitted by paragraph 50.38(c) of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

CATEGORY 1:* This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned .
