Purpose:
This is a meeting between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. to discuss the significance associated with an apparent violation of 10 CFR 50.54(q)(2) and associated 10 CFR 50.47(b)(4) for the failure to follow and maintain the effectiveness of its emergency plan. The apparent violation is discussed in Inspection Report 05000305/2012503 and the preliminary significance appears to be of low to moderate safety significance (White).
The NRCs Policy Statement, Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, effective May 28, 2002, applies to this meeting. The policy statement may be found on the NRC web site, www.nrc.gov, and contains information regarding visitors and security.
