DB High Strength Bolt Inspection Deferrals Sam - our position is that if evidence of contamination is found, a deferral of the UT inspections until he next refueling outage would only be acceptable if visual inspections of the coatings demonstrate that the liquid could not have penetrated to the base metal of the stud. For example, coatings are intact on the stud and nut on all surfaces, coatings on the base plate are intact between the wall/column and the base plate.
