Dear Mr. Landis:
It is my sincere pleasure to invite you to participate as a speaker at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC) 25th Annual Regulatory Information Conference (RIC). The RIC will be held on March 12-14, 2013, at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, 5701 Marinelli Road, North Bethesda, Maryland, 20852.
This 3-day annual conference is co-sponsored by the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation and the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research, and brings together more than 3,000 participants from over 30 countries representing interested parties from government, industry, international agencies, other interested parties and members of the public. The RIC provides an open forum for stakeholders to learn, share, and discuss information on significant and timely nuclear regulatory activities, processes, and emergent issues.
We request your participation as a panelist on a technical session entitled, Enhancing Law Enforcement Tactical Response to Commercial Nuclear Power Reactor Sites, scheduled for March 12, 2013, 1:30-3:00PM. It is being chaired by Michael Layton, Deputy Divison Director in the Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response. The session will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the Integrated Response planning and execution, and the complementary roles played by the Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) and the Federal partners.
Your presentation and the presentations of other panel members will help provide insight and encourage dialogue during the session. The sessions overview has been emailed to you separately.
