KEWAUNEE POWER STATION NRC REGULATORY ISSUE SUMMARIES 2011-08 AND 2012-07 PREPARATION AND SCHEDULING OF OPERATOR LICENSING EXAMINATIONS NRC Regulatory Issue Summaries 2011-08 and 2012-07, dated May 25, 2011 and June 8, 2012, respectively, requested information on proposed site-specific operator licensing examination schedules and the estimated number of applicants planning to take those examinations and/or the NRC's generic fundamentals examinations (GFEs) for 2013 through 2017.
DEK provided this information on NRC Form 536 in letters dated July 7, 2011 and August 14, 2012 (Serial Nos.11-329 and 12-418, respectively).
On November 2, 2012, DEK notified the NRC that it has decided to permanently cease power operation of Kewaunee Power Station. DEK no longer needs the NRC to administer examinations on the dates previously provided. Therefore, this letter hereby retracts the previously transmitted information and formally notes that no applicants are planning to take those examinations.
