Re: Entergrgy Nuclear Operations,, Inc. (Indiaan Point Nucclear Generrating Units 2 and 3), Docket D Nos. 50-247-LR and 50-286-LR ___

Dear Adm ministrative Judges:

Pursuant to the Board ds October 7, 2011 Ordder (Procedurres for Evideentiary Filinngs), Entergyy Nuclear Operations, O Inc. (Enterggy) submitss the revisedd testimony/eexhibits desccribed below w.

Entergy is i submitting g a revised version v of itss testimony on o contentionn NYS-5 reggarding buried piping, ENTR30373 E (clean and redlined r copiies are proviided). The revised r testimmony includes two categgories of rev visions. First, since the original o subm mission of Entergys E testtimony in March M

2012, fivve (5) compaany, industryy, and NRC documents d thhat previoussly existed inn earlier verssions or draft form f have beeen finalizedd, and Enterggy has includded updatedd citations annd, where warranted, referencess to and desccriptions of those t docum ments.

Second, as a a result off clarificatioons in Octobeer 2012 of Entergys E undderstanding of the NRCs interpretaation of restricted acceess as used in NUREG-11801, Revisiion 2 and Finnal LR-ISG--

2011-03,, Entergy ideentified apprroximately 270 feet of piiping from thhe Unit 3 serrvice water, Unit 3 city waater, and Uniit 2 and Unitt 3 fuel oil syystems that would, w with the application of the clarified interpretatio on of restriccted, meet the t definitionn of undergground pipinng in Section

Administrative Judges December 6, 2012 Page 2 XI.M41 of NUREG-1801, Revision 2. None of that piping contains, or has the potential to contain, radiological fluid. The original testimony indicated that there was no underground piping subject to aging management review (AMR). With the clarified interpretation of restricted, there is underground pipingthe approximately 270 feetthat is subject to AMR under the Buried Piping and Tanks Inspection Program. That in-scope piping previously was treated as accessible piping (as opposed to restricted-access piping) subject to AMR under another aging management program. Entergys revised testimony explains the reason for this modification, identifies the relevant documentation (all of which has previously been disclosed),

and updates the references to include underground where warranted.

In summary, Entergy is submitting the following revised/new hearing exhibits:

  • ENTR10001 - Entergy Hearing Exhibit List (Revised December 5, 2012)
