KEWAUNEE POWER STATION REQUEST TO WITHDRAW LICENSE AMENDMENT REQUEST 254: PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TO ADOPT TSTF-510, "REVISION TO STEAM GENERATOR PROGRAM INSPECTION FREQUENCIES AND TUBE SAMPLE SELECTION," USING THE CONSOLIDATED LINE ITEM IMPROVEMENT PROCESS By letters dated July 30, 2012 and October 12, 2012 (References 1 and 2), Dominion Energy Kewaunee, Inc. (DEK) requested an amendment to Facility Operating License Number DPR-43 for Kewaunee Power Station (KPS). The proposed amendment would modify TS requirements regarding steam generator tube inspections and reporting as described in Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) 510, Revision 2.

On November 2, 2012 (Reference 3), DEK informed the NRC of its plans to permanently cease power operations at KPS. Submittal of this license amendment request was discretionary and not required by any regulatory requirements or plant commitments. Therefore, DEK requests that this license amendment request be withdrawn.
