Dear Sir or Madam:

On March 12, 2012, the NRC issued Reference 1 to all power reactor licensees. of Reference I contains requested actions, requested information, and required responses associated with Recommendation 2.3 for seismic walkdowns.

Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (ENO) confirmed in Reference 2 that it would use the seismic walkdown procedure (EPRI Report 1025286, Seismic Walkdown Guidance For Resolution of Fukushima Near-Term Task Force Recommendation 2.3: Seismic) as

PNP 2012-102 Page 2 endorsed by the NRC as the basis to conduct the walkdowns and develop the needed information at the Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP).

Pursuant to Required Response 2 in Enclosure 3 of Reference 1, ENO is providing the Seismic Walkdown Report for PNP in Attachment 2. All potentially adverse seismic conditions identified in the report have been evaluated in the Corrective Action Program for operability concerns and no immediate operability concerns have been identified.

This letter contains new regulatory commitments, which are identified in Attachment 1.
