Dear Sir or Madam:
In Reference 1, the NRC issued the Request for Information for Near-Term Task Force Recommendations related to the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident. In Reference 2, Energy Northwest committed to submit a final report documenting the results of the seismic walkdowns no later than November 27, 2012. Enclosure 1 to this letter provides the Initial Seismic Walkdown Summary Report. Energy Northwest believes that this submittal contains some information that should not be made publicly available. Energy Northwest requests that Enclosure 1 to this submittal be withheld from public disclosure in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390(d)(1). Enclosure 2 to this letter provides a version of the report that can be made publicly available.
It is noted that there were a number of items that were unable to be completed due to location, safety, or schedule. These items are to be completed by the end of the next refueling outage (R21). Attachment 1 identifies new commitments resulting from the seismic walkdowns. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Mr. Z. K. Dunham at (509) 377-4735.

Scheduled Completion Commitment Date Energy Northwest will submit a final report documenting the results of seismic walkdowns on the Inaccessible Items 60 days after startup from identified in Section 5.4 of the Initial Seismic Walkdown Refueling Outage R21 Summary Report and provide a status of currently open (Note: R21 is scheduled to condition reports identified in Section 6.0 and Attachment 13 be complete in June 2013) of the Initial Seismic Walkdown Summary Report.
