LETTER NUMBER 2.12.070

Dear Sir or Madam:

References 1 and 4 identified the commitments that were required to be completed prior to Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS) entering into the period of extended operation (PEO) on June 8, 2012. License Condition 8 of the Renewed Facility Operating License in Reference 2 states that Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) shall notify the NRC in writing when implementation of these activities is complete.

Reference 3 provided notification that Entergy had completed implementation of these activities with the following minor exceptions:

Commitment 36 - Ultrasonic testing of the Condensate Storage Tank (CST) "A" bottom surface Commitment 49 - Inspection and testing of a Metamic coupon The purpose of this letter is to provide notification that Entergy has completed implementation of all activities. The CST tank testing has been completed with results meeting the established acceptance criteria. The Metamic sampling has been completed with results meeting the established acceptance criteria.
