Dear NRC,
I would like to take this opportunity to please ask you to refuse the 20 year license extension for the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant. I am a resident of the Hudson Valley where I live with my family. I also commute into New York City for work. My main concern is the ongoing environmental damage to the Hudson River from the outpouring of incredible amounts of hot water necessary to the cooling of the plant but deadly to the aquatic life and the ecosystem of this incredibly unique estutiary. My other concern is the lack of an safe evacuation plan for the residents of the area. Considering that this plant is in the middle of an incredibly populated region it seems a huge and unnecessary public risk.
Entergy's request for license extension for this aging facility should be denied.
