Dear NRC representatives,
I urge you, in the interest of safety and economics to NOT relicense the Indian Point Nuclear Power plant.
As a 10 year resident living within the evacuation zone, there is no reasonable plan to safeguard the nearby citizens should there be any type of disaster, natural or otherwise. Even before Japan's Tsunami, experts concluded that building a nuclear power plant on a fault line was an accident waiting to happen and the amount of people in the 75 mile radius potentially impacted would be astronomical.
Nuclear energy is not safe or renewable and has no future in the solution to the world's energy needs and can be easily replaced with wind and solar power systems.
Thank you.
