Wednesday, September 12, 2012 5:22 PM Docket, Hearing Objections to new Indian Point licenses/Relicensing Hello, I am opposing the relicensing of Indian Point Energy Center.
While safety of nuclear energy is unknown, I certainly know what is happening to the people in the Northeastern Japan due to the radioactive contamination from the Fukushima meltdown.
Safety isn't something humans can handle entirely.
Indian Point may boast of technology to create energy and create jobs, but technology doesn't protect people.
Let alone the people densely populated area around Indian Point, which sits on fault lines.
Fukushima disaster made it clear that nuclear energy isn't something humans can live with.
Please do not relicense Indian Point.
