Indian Point - New York TO: Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington, DC via email As a proud American citizen and resident of Westchester County, New York, I am writing to express my concern over the Indian Point Power Plant.
Recently, I was made aware that the facility is past it's useful life, that the pools holding the spent fuel rods are vulnerable, and that a proposal does not include the necessary level of safety.
Indian Point lies in an area that is densely populated, residents in the event of a nuclear disaster.
It is time to close down Indian Point and take whatever radioactive materials in the safest manner possible.
