Thursday, September 06, 2012 8:17 PM Docket, Hearing OBJECTION TO RENEWING INDIAN POINT POWER PLANT LICENSE Why I implore you not to renew the Indian Point Power Plant license:
- 1. It's old and just waiting for something to break down and cause untold damage.
- 2. It's dirty. It pollutes the Hudson River and it's killing untold wildlife.
- 3. It's obsolute. It is time to invest in clean, renewable energy production such as solar, wind, hydrogen cells etc.
- 4. It is sitting on an earthquake fault and whose stupid idea was that? If so many, who were involved in the decision to build the plant on the Hudson, agreed on this location, what faith can we have in their intelligence.
- 5. You can't get out of the city on a "normal" day in less than an hour. Many times it takes longer. But if disaster strikes the chaos would be unimagineable.
- 6. If disaster strikes you would be ruining the greatest city in the world and all the money in a few people's pockets is not worth it.
If the above reasons aren't enough to convince you then I can only believe you are insane, corrupt and God knows what else.
