Monday, September 10, 2012 7:28 AM Docket, Hearing Close Indian Point
Dear Sir or Madam:
I am urging you to close Indian Point. More than 1,500 tons of radioactive waste, stored under the Hudson River, are slowly leaking into the water.
As a result, there are more than 1 billion dead fish and other organisms, killed by Indian Point's cooling water intakes every year.
"The evacuation plan is unworkable.
We don't need Indian Point's power; there is enough power through 20/20 by which time we can develop renewable sources of energy for the region which are safer and cheaper.
Thank you Marlena Lange 23 Royce Ave.
