Monday, September 10, 2012 3:09 PM Docket, Hearing Indian Point license My three pre-teen granddaughters live in different parts of Rockland. I scares me to think what could happen to them one sunny schoolday if a serious accident was reported at the Indian Point plant, even if it turned out to be a false alarm!
No evacuation plan in the world could really handle the chaos and confusion that would occur-the jammed roads and highways, the blaring sirens, the frantic parents in search of their kids, the trauma that the kids would suffer-not to mention, in case of a real accident, the horrible possibility of exposure to radiation.
Come to your senses! Don't renew the license. Indian Point should have never have been built there in the first place.
