REQUALIFICATION PROGRAM INSPECTION
Dear Mr. Meyer:
In a telephone conversation on August 31, 2012, Mr. D. Lauterbur, Training Director, and Mr. C. Moore, Operations Engineer, at the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) arranged to inspect a portion of your Requalification Training Program. Mr. Moore will observe the training departments administration of a requalification examination in accordance with Inspection Procedure 71111.11B. Mr. Moore will also review annual operating test pass-fail results. The inspection is planned for Tuesday, September 25, 2012, which coincides with your regularly scheduled requalification examination cycle. The staff at your facility should prepare and conduct the requalification examinations in accordance with your NRC-approved requalification program.
In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR) 55.59(c), the NRC may request facility licensees to submit their biennial comprehensive requalification written examinations or annual operating tests as necessary to support the NRC's inspection program needs. In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please provide the operating test scheduled for the week of September 24, 2012. In addition, make available those documents at your earliest convenience. Mr. D. Lauterbur has been advised of this request and given the name of the NRC lead inspector assigned to this inspection.
This letter contains information collections that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). These information collections were approved by the Office of Management and Budget, approval number 3150-0018.
