Dear Administrative Judges:

In accordance with the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board's ("Board") directions, the NRC Staff

("Staff") has this date filed, in camera via the NRC's Electronic Information Exchange ("EIE"),

the following documents concerning the ten contentions that have been scheduled to be heard during the upcoming evidentiary hearings on "Track 1" contentions:

1. NRC Staff's Proposed Board Questions on Contention NYS-5 (Buried Pipes and Tanks);
2. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board to Ask Concerning Contention NYS-6/7 [Cables];
3. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board to Consider I Contention NYS-8 (Transformers);
4. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board on Dr. Lemay's Direct and Rebuttal Testimony Related to NYS-12C [SAMAs];
5. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board on Dr. Sheppard's Direct and Rebuttal Testimony Related to NYS-16B [SAMAs];
6. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board to Consider I Contention NYS-17 (Land Use);

7. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board to Ask Concerning Contention RK-TC-2 [Flow Accelerated Corrosion];
8. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for the Board to Consider I Contention NYS-9, 33, and 37 (No Action Alternative);
9. NRC Staff's Proposed Board Questions on Contention Riverkeeper EC-3/Clearwater EC-1 (Spent Fuel Pool Leaks); and
10. NRC Staff's Proposed Questions for Evidentiary Hearing Regarding Contention CW-EC-3A (Environmental Justice).

In light of the Board's June 8,2012 Notice of Hearing designating the ten Track 1 contentions, and the Board's July 12, 2012 Order (1l C), the parties have consulted and are not submitting proposed questions on Contention NYS-26B/RK-TC-1 B, Contention NYS-38/RK-TC-5, or any other non-Track 1 contentions at this time. The parties will submit proposed questions on remaining contentions in accordance with further scheduling direction from the Board.
