Dear Administrative Judges:

On August 10, 2012, the State of Connecticut ("Connecticut") filed a "Motion for Leave to File Reply to Responses of NRC Staff and Entergy to Connecticut's Statement of Position"

("lIJIotion"), to which it attached its proposed reply.1 In its Motion, Connecticut recited the position expressed by NRC Staff ("Staff') Counsel during consultations on the Motion, viz., that the Staff opposed Connecticut's Motion and reserved the right to file a response. Id. at 2.

The Staff wishes to inform you that it does not intend to file a response to Connecticut's Motion.
