Dear Mr. Connell:

By letter dated June 8, 2012, Maine Yankee requested an exemption from specific requirements of 10 CFR 50.47, Emergency Plans, and 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix E, Emergency Planning and Preparedness for Production and Utilization Facilities.

The staff has reviewed your letter and has determined that it provides sufficient information to proceed with its detailed evaluation. Please reference TAC No. L24661 in all future correspondence.
