Dear Ms. Schmidt:
A constituent has contacted my office with a concern about the safety of the above referenced nuclear plant. A scenario where significant winds from tropical activity are experienced at the plant, resulting in downed power lines and a diminished capacity to provide necessary core cooling, is presented as a possibility. This sequence of events seems unlikely, but with last year's disaster at Fukushima, Japan, it could be unwise to assume all would be well if power for cooling was lost due to tropical force winds. Please review the situation and provide a response to my office regarding any possible danger which may be posed by this potential chain of events.
