SUMMARY

OF PUBLIC MEETING WITH RIVER BEND STATION

Dear Mr. Olson:

On July 11, 2012, representatives of the NRC met with you and members of your staff at the River Bend Station Training Center in St. Francisville, LA, to present the results of the NRC Augmented Inspection Team at River Bend Station. The Augmented Inspection Team was chartered to gain a better understanding of the circumstances surrounding the complete loss of nonsafety-related service water and reactor scram event on May 24, 2012. A copy of the meeting agenda is enclosed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS).
