Rob, I looked this package of DRAis over and compared to the teleconference notes John Hufnagel took and had the following comments which we could discuss on the phone call on Thursday.( Also for the call we no longer need to discuss 3.3.2.1.13-1 as we now fully understand the question.)

Regarding DRAI B.2.1.3-1:

1. There were no changes to any of the words for the RPV Head Studs AMP (i.e. remove the word nuts) is this correct?

2. Still ask us to revise the UFSAR supplement to reflect taking an exception. While it is common practice to describe enhancements in the UFSAR supplement it has not been common practice to describe exceptions. As per our first telecon where Bo Pham asked us to identify these type of issues regarding the UFSAR supplement I am doing so now.

Regarding DRAI B.2.1.26-1 and DRAI 3.1.1.38-1 (different reviewers but related issue)

Regarding DRAI 3.1.1.38-1, the Background and Issue discuss a topic discussed at length during the AMP Audit with Dave Pelton and Michelle Kirchline. Based on Dave Peltons verbal acceptance of our explanation of the issue, we were not expecting this RAI. Are the questions being asked just to get our response on the docket?

Anyway, DRAI B.2.1.26-1 requests revision to LRA Section B.2.1.26 and justification for the use of the Inspection of Internal Surfaces AMP for managing loss of fracture toughness, which is added to that program only for the CASS RWCU pumps that are the subject of DRAI 3.1.1.38-1. Requests 4 and 5 in DRAI 3.1.1.38-1 are essentially redundant to DRAI B.2.1.26-1 relative to impact on the Internal Surfaces AMP and revision to the LRA. Can DRAI B.2.1.26-1 be combined with DRAI 3.1.1.38-1 to avoid cross references between the Responses relative to the LRA changes that are required by DRAI B.2.1.26?

Chris, Attached is a DRAFT Request for Information related to the Limerick Generating Station license renewal application. The attached DRAFT RAI is a revision of the draft RAI discussed in the teleconference last Wednesday. The changes are:

Deletion of DRAI 3.3.2.21-1 Revision to DRAI B.2.1.12-1 Addition of DRAI B.2.1.13-2 (this is a revision to DRAI 3.3.2.21-1 that required clarity. The staff felt that renumbering was appropriate).
