SUMMARY
BABCOCK & WILCOX TECHNICAL SERVICES Y-12, LLC The B&W Y-12 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) program will accomplish environmental and infrastructure work scope over the next two years by reducing the risks from Cold War legacies and furthering Y-12's physical transformation. The Biology Complex Deactivation and Decommissioning (D&D) project is a part of the ARRA work scope being performed by B&W Y-12. The scope of work is to complete demolition of Buildings 9211, 9220, 9224 and 9769 including disposition of all material and waste. Work scope for this project includes characterization, engineering, waste handling plan/waste profile development, hazardous material abatement, equipment removal, utility isolation, temporary utility installation, waste disposition, D&D of the facilities, and preparation of regulatory documentation.
