Dear Dr. Hunter:
Please find enclosed, as requested, a compact disc containing Information regarding cultural and historic resources in the vicinity of Callaway Plant, Unit 1 (Callaway). As you know, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is conducting an environmental review of the effects of renewing the operating license for Callaway. In accordance with Title 36 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part SOO.S(c) (36 CFR SOO.S(c>>, the NRC will use the enclosed data to support compliance with the obligations required under Section 1 06 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (NHPA).
This information was found at the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office and includes sensitive cultural resource surveys and site files. As such, and in accordance with your role as a consulting party, please treat this information per NHPA (36 CFR SOO) and Archaeological Resources Protection Act guidelines.
