PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT NO.1 - REVIEW OF THE CORE OPERATING LIMITS REPORT, REVISION 19 FOR OPERATING CYCLE 14 (TAC NO. ME6316)
Dear Mr. Kaminskas:
By letter to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) dated May 24,2011 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML11154A102), First Energy Nuclear Operating Company, the licensee for Perry Nuclear Power Station, Unit No.1 (PNPP),
submitted a revision 19 of Core Operating Limits Report (COLR) for operating cycle 14 in accordance with PNPP Technical Specification (TS) 5.6.5, "Core Operating Limits Report."
The NRC staff's review of the COLR, Revision 19 for operating cycle 14 at PNPP included the review of the COLR in its entirety for operating cycle 14 with a focus on the specific revisions for Revision 19.
The NRC staff finds the scope of Revision 19 (corrected page numbers in the Table of Contents and corrected on page 11 MCPRf to MCPRf and adding "(SRLR)" as administrative in nature and acceptable. The NRC staff finds PNPPs COLR, Revision 19, for operating cycle 14 acceptable.
The NRC staff made the following observation in review of the COLR:
- 1. In the References Section 2.2 of the COLR, there are no revision designations for references 7, 14, and 15. The NRC staff recommends adding revisions to these references for clarity.
