STAFF REVIEW OF THE DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 PHYSICAL SECURITY PLAN (REVISION 7) FOR THE INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION SECURITY AND VERIFICATION OF ADDITIONAL SECURITY MEASURES INCORPORATION The staff has completed its review of Physical Security Plan (PSP) submitted by Indiana Michigan Power to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by letter dated May 9, 2012.
Based on our review, we find the submitted PSP to be acceptable and the Donald C. Cook PSP has met the applicable performance objectives and general requirements outlined in Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR), 73.55, and the Additional Security Measures (ASM) imposed by NRC Order EA-11-039.
An on-site physical security inspection was completed during the week of May 14th, 2012, to verify the PSP successfully meets the objectives outlined in Inspection Procedure 81311.
Based on staff observations, the PSP has met the performance objectives and general requirements outlined in 10 CFR 73.55 and the ASMs imposed by the NRC.
