Facilities: Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station Docket Nos: 50-271 Date/Time: Wednesday, May 23, 2012 Open House: 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Multipurpose Room)

Public Meeting: 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (Multipurpose Room)

Purpose:

The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) will host an open house and public meeting to discuss the NRCs assessment of safety performance at Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power Station for 2011, as described in the NRC annual assessment letter dated March 5, 2012.

NRC staff will be available to answer questions on our role in ensuring safe plant operation.

NRC Attendees: C. Miller, Director, Division of Reactor Projects J. Clifford, Deputy Director, Division of Reactor Projects R. Bellamy, Ph.D., Chief, Division of Reactor Projects, Branch 5 S. Rutenkroger, Senior Resident Inspector S. Rich, Resident Inspector Public Participation: This is a Category 3 Meeting. The NRC staff will host an open house to discuss Entergys performance at Vermont Yankee during calendar year 2011. NRC staff will be available, in an informal setting, to answer questions from individuals and discuss issues or concerns related to Vermont Yankee. In addition, the NRC will host a question and answer session, during which members of the public will be able to ask questions or make statements in a public meeting. There will not be a formal NRC presentation during the public meeting.

Additionally, signs, banners, posters and displays affixed to any sticks, poles, or other similar devices will not be permitted in the meeting room.
