Flaw Evaluation RAI-7 The operating stresses were developed using an axi-symmetrical finite element model (FEM) to simulate the RPV-nozzle assembly. Provide sufficient information to demonstrate that use of the 2.5 times the RPV radius for the axi-symmetrical model is adequate to account for difference in the membrane stresses between the sphere and cylinder of the same thickness and radius in this application. Stating that, This value is based on experience with modeling similar geometries, is not sufficient.
