RE: Draft Markey Response George and Martin, Art B 'urritt and I would like to talk with you today, either early afternoon or late afternoon 400pmn or no later than 900am tomorrow. We are meeting with our executives tomorrow at 1000am for a within region strategy session. We are headed for a Division level executive brief first week in January 2012

1. Why only a draft of TIA by 12/31/11?
2.

How crucial is finalizing the TIA and reviewing what the licensee's final plans are along with white paper on tensile strength testing.

3. Best forum to communicate and critique their final plans when available.
a. Conference call
b. Onsite management meeting closed to public
c. Public meetings at the site or headquarters or at the region
4. You view on another TIA to address license work on CEB finite element analysis - beyond the region's capability.
5.

Suggestion for stronger regulatory footprint such as 50.54f and orders.

Draft Markey Response Here's my proposal (you will recognize most of it!)

Generally, we like to write these response to congress with as little citation of regs and quotations from regulations as possible. Unfortunately, I don't see how we can really do that in this case. Let me know what you think.
