SUMMARY

OF THE APRIL 5, 2012, PERRY PUBLIC MEETING On April 5, 2012, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a Public Meeting at the Quail Hollow Resort in Painesville, Ohio, to discuss the 2011 annual assessment results for Perry. is a list of attendees for the meeting, and copies of the slides used by licensee and the NRCs staff during the meeting are located in ADAMS (ML12086A200 and ML12094A293).

The meeting was started with the NRC providing an overview of the reactor oversight program and the results of the 2011 annual assessment for Perry. The NRCs presentation was followed by a presentation provided by the Perry plant staff giving an overview of the current and proposed actions to improve performance in 2012, including a description of the major issues. In addition, Perrys staff discussed the actions that have been accomplished, or are planning to accomplish, to mitigate the occupational radiation safety and substantive cross-cutting issues that were identified by the NRC during the 2011 annual assessment.

After the business part of the meeting ended, the NRC listened to comments and answered questions from the public.
