March 30, 2012 Ms. Ellen C. Ginsberg, Esq.

Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary Nuclear Energy Institute 1776 I Street NW, Suite 400 Washington, DC 20006

Dear Ms. Ginsberg:

Thank you for speaking at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions 24th Annual Regulatory Information Conference (RIC). Your presentation on NRC Enforcement - Taking the Long View during session TH29, Allegations, Alternative Dispute Resolution, and Enforcement:

Statistics and Initiatives provided important information including initiatives that are underway in the nuclear arena. The interest of the attendees was evident by the range of questions raised during the question-and-answer period following the panel presentations.

Audio and video files for the Opening Session, Commission Plenary Sessions, Regional Administrators Session and Special Plenary Session "Operating and New Reactors Panel Discussion: NRC and Industry Perspectives" are now available at http://video.nrc.gov. All final presentation slides, audio recordings and questions that were not addressed during the technical sessions are being compiled and will be posted within the next few weeks on the NRCs RIC website at: http://www.nrc.gov/public-involve/conference-symposia/ric/index.html.

Once again, the number of participants at this years RIC reached over 3,000 with international representation from 35 countries. As indicated by the initial feedback received, this years RIC was successful in achieving the NRCs goals of dispersing information, fueling thought and providing a venue for discussion on topics pertinent to nuclear regulation and the nuclear industry. It is your commitment and support that helped to make the RIC a success.

Again, thank you for your participation at NRCs 2012 Regulatory Information Conference.

Sincerely,

/RA/
