TIA Status Report Attachments:
TIA Status 8 25 11.doc Nelson/Tim/John, Attached is the biweekly TIA status report to support your Directors call with the Regions on Friday. Note that I used blue font in areas on the report to better illustrate updates/changes from the previous report. Listed below are items that may be of most interest from the last two weeks:
- 1. We held a call with the region on 8/17/11, to discuss the TIA request for Seabrook (re: Alkali Silica Reaction (ASR) resulting in degradation of concrete). The language in the TIA was agreed upon and the region expects to formally submit the TIA within 1-2 weeks (Letter Method).
- 2. We received the TIA request for Watts Bar Unit 2 (re: seismic qualification of Heinemann circuit breakers), 8/19/11 (Letter Method).
- 3. We received the final TIA for the Point Beach (Concurrence Method), 8/16/11.
- 4. Region IV has requested a revision to TIA 2009-02, Requirements for testing station batteries for Station Black Out conditions at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. The staff will meet to discuss the path forward the week of 8/29/11.
