NAPS Thurs morning status Unit 1:
- containment open, shutdown cooling with RHR, PT 39.7 recovery from seismic event Unit 2:
- AFW maintaining S/G level, PT 39.7 recovery from seismic event Earthquake of 4.5 magnitude was experienced at North Anna this morning at 0108. Site entered a NOUE (HU1.1) for the aftershock felt in the control room as confirmed by USGS. Residents responded to the site. The licensee is continuing with their seismic response procedure (AP-36). Walkdowns in process. No equipment problems identified.
In addition, the licensee is monitoring the storm track of hurricane Irene and is eveluating the storm preps required.
M. Speck onsite for EP inspection. Joe Brady onsite for support.
HQ personnel with seismic and civil engineering to be onsite today at noon thru Friday.
