Subject:

D.C. Cook - Notification of Michigan State Emergency Planning Officials re. EAL Scheme Change (TAC ME5666, 7)

Michael:

As I previously informed Helen, the NRC staff had completed review of the licensees proposed Emergency Action Level (EAL) scheme change, conveyed by the licensees letters of 2/8/2011 and 11/8/2011. We are now preparing correspondence to formally communicate our review results to the licensee. However, before we issue the correspondence, we need to know that the licensee had informed the Michigan State emergency planning (EP) officials of the proposed scheme change. The two licensee submittals I cited above did indicate that a copy of the transmittal letters, without enclosures, had been sent to MPSC.

By mail, please inform me what has been done in terms of notifying the State EP officials of the proposed EAL change. Thanks.
