SUBJECT:
CONFIRMATION OF REQUESTED INITIAL OPERATOR LICENSE EXAMINATIONS FOR SEQUOYAH NUCLEAR PLANT
Dear Mr. Shea:
In a letter dated July 7, 2011, your staff responded to Regulatory Issue Summary 2011-04 and requested we schedule initial license operator examinations for Sequoyah Nuclear Plant.
Based on your letter and following discussions with your staff, we have scheduled the requested examinations as follows:
Plant / Station 2012 2013 Date Applicants Date Applicants Sequoyah 12/3 16 5/13 15 n/a n/a 12/2 16 On-site validation of the examinations is typically scheduled to occur approximately three weeks before each examination. If you have a need to change the dates of your scheduled exam(s) from that (those) listed above, please inform us in writing of your request and the reason for the change. Due to the large number of examinations scheduled to be administered at Region II sites, requests to change examination dates will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We will confirm any change in examination schedule with a follow-up letter.
We understand that your staff will develop the proposed examinations. For examinations that have greater than nine applicants, each examination is scheduled for a minimum of two weeks.
If the number of applicants is reduced to less than ten (10) for any examination, please inform us as this will impact the examination schedule.
