THE VILLAGE OF OSSINING HOUSING CHOICE VOUCHER PROGRAM (Section 8 Rental Assistance Program)
Will be opening the waiting list starting December 1, 2008.
A limited number of applications will be accepted due to funding limitations. Priority will be given to individuals and families who, at the time of application, live or work or have been hired to work in the Village of Ossining. Other preferences which may apply include senior citizens age 62 and over; people with disabilities; veterans; working families whose household income is at or below 30% of the median income. Date and time of application submission will control the waiting list order.
Applicants must be either a Citizen or have eligible immigration status.
https://www.waitlistcheck.com/application/formj.php?ID=600_NY094 Non-Village of Ossining residents will be required to rent up within The Village of Ossining limits for the "rst 12 months. It is most unlikely, however, that we will exhaust our pool of eligible resident applicants.
Placement on our waiting list does not constitute Section 8 eligibility. When your name comes to the top of the list you will be asked for detailed documentation on your household income, family composition, preference, residency, and citizenship or eligible immigration status. The average wait on our list for those with preference is about 2 years.
