Paul Clifford, Tara Inverso The purpose of the call was to prepare for the December 15, 2011, ACRS subcommittee meeting on the 10 CFR 50.46c proposed rule. The teleconference participants discussed what information should be contained in the presentations which cover the BWR and PWR owners' groups reports. NRC staff explained that the presentation should summarize what was done on a generic basis, describe how the groups were binned, etc. The information in the presentations should be non-proprietary.
The participants then discussed the status of the proprietary scrub of the audit report associated with the owners' groups submittals. The participants agreed that it would be useful to have a publicly available version of the report available by the December 15th meeting.
The participants then discussed how proprietary questions asked by ACRS would be handled. NRC staff explained that ACRS will likely hold all proprietary questions (if any) until the end of the meeting for a short closed session.
The participants briefly discussed the meaning of "compliance demonstration" within the publicly available 50.46c preliminary draft proposed rule language. NRC staff will elaborate on the meaning of "compliance demonstration" during the December 15th presentation.
