Sample point No. T10, located between the Unit 1 CST and Rx Building, showed an unexpected increase in Tritium. The most recent sample indicated 4.61 E6 pCiIL, whereas the previous sample collected on 6/7/2011, read 3.50 E3 pCi/L.
IThe sample was collected by the GPC Central Lab on 9/21 and the results were received at Plant Hatch on 9/28/11. A confirmatory sample was pulled and counted at the Plant Hatch Lab on the same date.
Notifications will be made today (9/29) per NMP-EN-002, Radiological Groundwater Protection Program.
