This letter asked for information to supplement our request for approval of our proposed long term feedwater nozzle monitoring and inspection program which was transmitted to your office by letter dated October 4, 1990.
Your request for additional information asked that we:
- 1.
Provide a brief summary of inservice inspections performed on the feedwater nozzles, and the total number of startup/shutdown cycles since the 1981 installation of the welded thermal sleeve spargers.
- 2.
Submit a copy of our Feedwater Nozzle inspection procedures.
- 3.
Provide a brief description of UT equipment and procedures specifically used for the Feedwater Nozzle Inspection Program, including a discussion of the inspector qualifications, mockups, calibration techniques, etc.
