Turkey Point Unit 3 Steam Generator ISI report - Requests for Additional Information
- Bob, Below are requests for additional information (RAIs) regarding the Turkey Point Unit 3 Steam Generator In-service Inspection report. On October 27, 2011, you stated that a call is not needed to discuss the draft RAIs sent to you via email. The below RAIs reflect the questions that were sent to you and agreed upon by Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). FPL agreed upon providing its response within 30 days of the date of this email. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
- 1. Confirm that the tube in steam generator (SG) A, Row 32, Column 47 was not expanded and that the tube in Row 32, Column 14 was expanded.
- 2. Discuss whether the tubes in SG B, Row 6, Column 45 and Row 7, Column 45 were stabilized.
- 3. Discuss why the tube in SG A, Row 33, Column 44 was deplugged, stabilized, and subsequently replugged.
- 4. The basis for the conclusion in Item J is not clear since the preceding information is summarizing the condition monitoring assessment and not the operational assessment (which is what is addressed in the conclusion). Clarify the conclusion in Item J (i.e., was the intent of the sentence to indicate that neither the normal operating or accident induced leakage limits were exceeded in the cycle preceding the 2010 inspections).
