Re: Davis Besse Open Items and Confirmatory Items Sam..... please check the 2nd item on the list... it shows the Masonry Wall Program assigned for RAIs B.2.22-5, 6 and 7, but LRA Section B.2.22 and those corresponding RAIs are associated with the Inservice Inspection - IWE Program.
Regarding the other items on the list, I have no comments.

Davis Besse Open Items and Confirmatory Items Steve and Cliff, The tables below list the OI and CI by branch for Davis-Besse. The information in the tables include the associated reviewers, whether the issue is a CI or OI and its #, the RAI #, a note summarizing the issue and in some cases the status of the discussion and SER section. Currently, for Davis Besse we have 21 Open Items and 6 Confirmatory Items.
Tomorrow Ill meet with NRCs BCs and technical staff to discuss the status of Davis Besse OI/CI and whether or not well be able to close enough OI/CI to support the schedule. Ill inform you about the result of the meeting. Please review the tables and let me know if you have any question. Jklos CI 3.2.2.2.3.6-2 RAI 3.2.2.2.3.6-2 In a teleconference dated August 22, 2011 the applicant stated that the item was intended to be deleted but documentation had not yet been provided Pending the applicants changes to LRA Table 3.2.2-2, the staffs review of this item is not complete and will be tracked as Confirmatory item XXX. Supplemental response received 9/16/2011. Probably closed I need to check with JWise.
In LRA Table 3.3.2-14, the applicant stated that the stainless steel heat exchanger tubes exposed to steam (external) are being managed for reduction in heat transfer by the One-Time Inspection Program. The AMR items cite generic note G.
Klos/Kichline OI 3.3.2.14-1 RAI 3.3.2.14-1 NRC reviewer was concerned that not all applicable aging effects are identified for the fire water storage tank heat exchanger tubes. FENOC stated that the consequences of tube failure do not directly challenge the function of the tank FENOC will review the issue to determine whether the fire water storage tank heat exchanger should be removed from scope.Waiting for RAI supplement by 9/30/2011. Issue can be easily closed if they remove the wst from scope as they plan to.

Please confirm that these line items are subject to a moist air (external) environment and submit a correction letter stating that, as appropriate. Once the environment has been confirmed for these line items, please restate the AMP to be assigned to these line items related to the applicant's response for 3.2.2.2.3.6-2. The applicant will confirm the environment in an upcoming response letter. Concerns with 8/17/2011 response by Telecon 8/22/2011 the applicant stated that they'll send a supplement response to address the staff concern (error in Telecon date and in the revision of section A.1.30)in their next RAI response letter (probably by 8/26/11). NRC requested that the Collection, Drainage and Treatment Components Inspection Program, Scope of Program program element should be updated to include the information that was previously added to the Program Description, and the Acceptance Criteria program element should be revised to include acceptance criteria for elastomeric components added to scope.
