Commitment re. SBLOCA Analysis

Peter, In a March 29, 2010, letter to the NRC, Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) committed to submit revised small break loss of coolant accident (SBLOCA) analyses for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant Unit 1 and Unit 2.

I&M submitted the revised Unit 2 SBLOCA analysis via an August 11, 2011 letter to the NRC, and intends to submit a revised Unit 1 SBLOCA analysis by the end of August 2012 as previously committed. In the March 29, 2010, letter, I&M also committed to coordinate with the NRC staff following submittal of the revised Unit 2 SBLOCA analysis to establish which of the previous RAI questions transmitted by NRC letter dated September 22, 2009 were applicable to the revised analysis, and establish a schedule for submittal of responses to the applicable questions.

Based on our telephone discussion today, I&M considers that it has coordinated with the NRC and the

commitment to establish a schedule for submittal of responses may be eliminated.
